York Ice Trail 2026: An Enchanted City


This February, York’s city centre will be transformed into An Enchanted City, where a mysterious spell has taken hold...

Wander through the historic streets and discover dazzling ice sculptures inspired by magic, mystery, and the weird and wonderful. Each corner reveals something new - from curious creatures to mythical marvels - in a trail bursting with enchantment. But beware... who cast the spell, and why? Follow the trail with the whole family to uncover the truth, before the magic melts away.

New for 2026!

Step into the Ice Village - a brand new addition filled with family-friendly fun and themed traders offering magical delights.

Make sure to book a place on one of the Ice Carving Masterclasses and learn how to carve a polar bear!

Session Options

Sessions will take place at the following intervals:

11.00am - 11.40am

11.50am - 12.30pm

1.00pm - 1.40pm

1.50pm - 2.30pm

Session Pricing 

A carving station for up to two people costs £35

If you'd like to add a third participant (Young person only aged 8 – 17 Years old), it's just £7.50 extra
